23For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
and presumption is as iniquity and aidolatry.
Because byou have rejected the word of the Lord,
che has also rejected you from being king.”

David Anointed King

1The Lord said to Samuel, dHow long will you grieve over Saul, since eI have rejected him from being king over Israel? fFill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, gfor I have provided for myself a king among his sons.”

1 Samuel 31:4

4 hThen Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these iuncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, jfor he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword kand fell upon it.

Hosea 7:16

16They lreturn, but not upward;
