David Anointed King

1The Lord said to Samuel, aHow long will you grieve over Saul, since bI have rejected him from being king over Israel? cFill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, dfor I have provided for myself a king among his sons.”

1 Samuel 16:12

12And he sent and brought him in. Now he was eruddy and had beautiful eyes and was handsome. And the Lord said, fArise, anoint him, for this is he.”

2 Samuel 7:15-16

15 gbut my steadfast love will not depart from him, has I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. 16 iAnd your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me.

24My wfaithfulness and my xsteadfast love shall be with him,

30 akIf his children forsake my law
and do not walk according to my rules,
Or  my just decrees

31if they violate my statutes
and do not keep my commandments,
32then I will punish their transgression with amthe rod
and their iniquity with stripes,
33but I will not remove from him my steadfast love
or be false to my faithfulness.
34I will not violate my ancovenant
or alter the word that went forth from my lips.
35Once for all I have sworn aoby my holiness;
I will not aplie to David.
36His aqoffspring shall endure forever,
arhis asthrone as long as atthe sun before me.
37Like authe moon it shall be established forever,
ava faithful witness in the skies.”  Selah

Acts 13:22

22And awwhen he had removed him, axhe raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ay‘I have found in David the son of Jesse aza man after my heart, bawho will do all my will.’
