1 Samuel 17:40-43

40 Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch. His sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.

41 And the Philistine moved forward and came near to David, ^awith his shield-bearer in front of him. 42 And when the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him, for he was but a youth, ^bruddy and handsome in appearance. 43 And the Philistine said to David, “Am I ^ca dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

1 Kings 20:10

10 Ben-hadad sent to him and said, ^d“The gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people ^ewho follow me.”

Isaiah 10:13-14

“By the strength of my hand I have done it,
and by my wisdom, for I have understanding;

and plunder their treasures;
like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.
14 My hand has found like a nest
the wealth of the peoples;
and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken,
so I have gathered all the earth;
and there was none that moved a wing
or opened the mouth or chirped.”
