1 Samuel 19:1

1 And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David. ^aBut Jonathan, Saul’s son, delighted much in David.

13 For I ^bhear the whispering of many—
terror on every side!—
^cas they scheme together against me,
as they plot to take my life.

12 The wicked ^dplots against the righteous
and ^egnashes his teeth at him,

32 The wicked ^fwatches for the righteous
and seeks to put him to death.

21 They ^gband together against the life of the righteous
and condemn ^hthe innocent to death. ^{▼▼Hebrew condemn innocent blood}

25 He ^jturned their hearts to hate his people,
to ^kdeal craftily with his servants.

4 In return for my love they ^laccuse me,
but I ^mgive myself to prayer. ^{▼▼Hebrew but I am prayer}

38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ^o‘This is the heir. Come, ^plet us kill him and have his inheritance.’
