1 Samuel 19:4-5

4And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, “Let not the king asin against his servant David, because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have brought good to you. 5For bhe took his life in his hand cand he struck down the Philistine, dand the Lord worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against einnocent blood by killing David without cause?”

1 Samuel 31:4

4 fThen Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these guncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, hfor he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword iand fell upon it.

1 Kings 22:8
