You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against einnocent blood by killing David without cause?” 6And Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan. Saul swore, f“As the Lord lives, he shall not be put to death.”

The Hebrew term hebel can refer to a “vapor” or “mere breath”; also verses 7, 8, 16 (see note on 1:2)
and a striving after wind.

1 John 3:12
