1 Samuel 19:4-7

4And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, “Let not the king asin against his servant David, because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have brought good to you. 5For bhe took his life in his hand cand he struck down the Philistine, dand the Lord worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against einnocent blood by killing David without cause?” 6And Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan. Saul swore, f“As the Lord lives, he shall not be put to death.” 7And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan reported to him all these things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence gas before.

1 Samuel 20:32

32Then Jonathan answered Saul his father, hWhy should he be put to death? What has he done?”

1 Samuel 22:14-15

14Then Ahimelech answered the king, “And who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, and captain over
Septuagint, Targum; Hebrew  and has turned aside to
your bodyguard, and honored in your house?
15Is today the first time jthat I have inquired of God for him? No! Let not the king impute anything to his servant or to all the house of my father, for your servant has known nothing of all this, kmuch or little.”

Esther 4:13-16

13Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, 16Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for lthree days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, mand if I perish, I perish.”
