Hannah’s Prayer

1And Hannah prayed and said,

a“My heart exults in the Lord;
bmy horn is exalted in the Lord.
My mouth derides my enemies,
because cI rejoice in your salvation.

Psalms 9:14

14that I may recount all your praises,
that in the gates of dthe daughter of Zion
I may erejoice in your salvation.

Psalms 35:10

10All my fbones shall say,
“O Lord, gwho is like you,
delivering the poor
from him who is too strong for him,
the poor and needy from him who robs him?”

Psalms 95:1

Let Us Sing Songs of Praise

1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us hmake a joyful noise to ithe rock of our salvation!

Isaiah 12:2-3

2 Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for jthe Lord God
Hebrew  for Yah, the Lord
is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”
3 lWith joy you
The Hebrew for  you is plural in verses 3, 4
will draw water from the wells of salvation.

Isaiah 61:3

3to grant to those who mourn in Zion
nto give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
othe oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
pthat they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, qthat he may be glorified.
Or  that he may display his beauty

Isaiah 61:10

10 sI will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
tfor he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself ulike a priest with a beautiful headdress,
vand as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Matthew 5:12

12 wRejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for xso they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

1 Peter 1:8

8 yThough you have not seen him, you love him. zThough you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,

1 Peter 4:13

13But rejoice aainsofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad abwhen his glory is revealed.
