1 Samuel 2:13-17

13The custom of the priests with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come, while the meat was boiling, with a three-pronged fork in his hand, 14and he would thrust it into the pan or kettle or cauldron or pot. All that the fork brought up the priest would take for himself. This is what they did at Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there. 15Moreover, abefore the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who was sacrificing, “Give meat for the priest to roast, for he will not accept boiled meat from you but only raw.” 16And if the man said to him, “Let them burn the fat first, and then take as much as you wish,” he would say, “No, you must give it now, and if not, I will take it by force.” 17Thus the sin of the young men was very great bin the sight of the Lord, cfor the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.

Jeremiah 7:9-10

9 dWill you steal, murder, commit adultery, eswear falsely, fmake offerings to Baal, gand go after other gods that you have not known, 10and then come and stand before me in this house, hwhich is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations?

Ezekiel 22:26

26 iHer priests jhave done violence to my law and khave profaned my holy things. lThey have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and mthey have disregarded my Sabbaths, nso that I am profaned among them.

Hosea 4:9-11

9 oAnd it shall be like people, like priest;
I will punish them for their ways
and repay them for their deeds.
10 pThey shall eat, but not be satisfied;
they shall play the whore, but not multiply,
because they have forsaken the Lord
to cherish
11whoredom, wine, and new wine,
which qtake away the understanding.
