1 Samuel 2:29-36

29Why then do you ascorn
Hebrew kick at
my sacrifices and my offerings that I commanded for my dwelling, and honor your sons above me by fattening yourselves on the choicest parts of every offering of my people Israel?’
30Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: c‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ dbut now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 31Behold, ethe days are coming when I will cut off your strength and the strength of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house. 32Then fin distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, gand there shall not be an old man in your house forever. 33The only one of you whom I shall not cut off from my altar shall be spared to weep his

Jeremiah 39:6

6The king of Babylon pslaughtered the sons of Zedekiah at qRiblah before his eyes, and the king of Babylon rslaughtered all the nobles of Judah.

Jeremiah 52:9-11

9Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him. 10The king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and also slaughtered all the officials of Judah at sRiblah. 11 tHe put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in chains, and the king of Babylon took him to Babylon, and put him in prison utill the day of his death.

Jeremiah 52:24-27

The People Exiled to Babylon

24And the captain of the guard took vSeraiah the chief priest, and wZephaniah the second priest and the three keepers of the threshold; 25and from the city he took an officer who had been in command of the men of war, and xseven men of the king’s council, who were found in the city; and the secretary of the commander of the army, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the midst of the city. 26And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at yRiblah. 27And the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at zRiblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was taken into exile out of its land.
