1 Samuel 2:3

but nthe haughty eyes you bring down.

6 oFor though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
but the haughty he knows from afar.

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 There are psix things that the Lord hates,
qseven that are an abomination to him:
17 rhaughty eyes, sa lying tongue,
and thands that shed innocent blood,
18 ua heart that devises wicked plans,
vfeet that make haste to run to evil,
19 wa false witness who xbreathes out lies,
and one who ysows discord among brothers.
