1 Samuel 2:6-8

6 ^aThe Lord kills and brings to life;
he brings down to Sheol and raises up.
7 ^bThe Lord makes poor and makes rich;
^che brings low and he exalts.
8 ^dHe raises up the poor from the dust;
he lifts the needy from the ash heap
^eto make them sit with princes
and inherit a seat of honor.
^fFor the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s,
and on them he has set the world.

1 Samuel 2:36

36 And everyone who is left in your house shall come to implore him for a piece of silver or a loaf of bread and shall say, “Please put me in one of the priests’ places, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”

1 Kings 14:26
