1 Samuel 20:31-33

31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, neither you nor your kingdom shall be established. Therefore send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.” 32 Then Jonathan answered Saul his father, ^a“Why should he be put to death? What has he done?” 33 ^bBut Saul hurled his spear at him to strike him. So Jonathan knew ^cthat his father was determined to put David to death.

Luke 23:21-23

21 but they kept shouting, “Crucify, crucify him!” 22 A third time he said to them, “Why, ^dWhat evil has he done? ^eI have found in him no guilt deserving death. ^fI will therefore punish and release him.” 23 But they were urgent, demanding with loud cries that he should be crucified. And their voices prevailed.
