1 Samuel 22:18-19

18 Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, ^aand he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod. 19 And Nob, the city of the priests, he put to the sword; ^bboth man and woman, child and infant, ox, donkey and sheep, he put to the sword.

James 3:6-9

6 And ^cthe tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, ^dstaining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, ^{▼▼Or wheel of birth} and set on fire by hell. ^{▼▼Greek Gehenna} 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, ^gfull of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people ^hwho are made in the likeness of God.
