1 Samuel 22:20-23

20 But one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named ^aAbiathar, escaped and fled after David. 21 And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of the Lord. 22 And David said to Abiathar, “I knew on that day, ^bwhen Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I have occasioned the death of all the persons of your father’s house. 23 ^cStay with me; do not be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. With me you shall be in safekeeping.”

1 Samuel 23:6-9

6 ^dWhen Abiathar the son of Ahimelech had fled to David to Keilah, he had come down with an ephod in his hand. 7 Now it was told Saul that David had come to Keilah. And Saul said, “God has given him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.” 8 And Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men. 9 David knew that Saul was plotting harm against him. And he said to Abiathar the priest, ^e“Bring the ephod here.”

2 Samuel 15:24

24 And ^fAbiathar came up, and behold, ^gZadok came also with all the Levites, ^hbearing the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God until the people had all passed out of the city.

2 Samuel 15:29

29 So Zadok and Abiathar carried the ark of God back to Jerusalem, and they remained there.

1 Chronicles 15:11-12

11 Then David summoned the priests ⁱZadok and ^jAbiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab, 12 and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites. ^kConsecrate yourselves, you and your brothers, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, ^lto the place that I have prepared for it.
