9 David knew that Saul was plotting harm against him. And he said to Abiathar the priest, ^b“Bring the ephod here.”

1 Samuel 30:7-8

7 ^cAnd David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 ^dAnd David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this ^eband? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake ^fand shall surely rescue.”
