I have not sinned against you, though ^eyou hunt my life to take it. 12 ^fMay the Lord judge between me and you, may the Lord avenge me against you, but my hand shall not be against you. 13 As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Out of the wicked comes wickedness.’ But my hand shall not be against you. 14 After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? ^gAfter a dead dog! ^hAfter a flea! 15 ⁱMay the Lord therefore be judge and give sentence between me and you, and see to it and ^jplead my cause and deliver me from your hand.”

1 Samuel 25:28-29

28 Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the Lord will certainly make my lord ^ka sure house, because my lord ^lis fighting the battles of the Lord, and evil shall not be found in you so long as you live. 29 If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the Lord your God. 1 Samuel 26:18-20
