1 Samuel 24:5-6
5And afterward aDavid’s heart struck him, because he had cut off a corner of Saul’s robe. 6He said to his men, b“The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed, to put out my hand against him, seeing he is cthe Lord’s anointed.”Romans 12:19-21
19Beloved, dnever avenge yourselves, but leave it ▼▼Greek give place
to the wrath of God, for it is written, f“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20To the contrary, g“if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
