1 Samuel 25:10-11

10 And Nabal answered David’s servants, ^a“Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? ^bThere are many servants these days who are breaking away from their masters. 11 Shall I take ^cmy bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to ^dmen who come from I do not know where?”

1 Samuel 25:17

17 Now therefore know this and consider what you should do, ^efor harm is determined against our master and against all his house, and he is such ^fa worthless man that one cannot speak to him.”

1 Samuel 25:25

25 Let not my lord regard ^gthis worthless fellow, Nabal, for as his name is, so is he. Nabal ^{▼▼ Nabal means fool} is his name, and folly is with him. But I your servant did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent.
