1 Samuel 25:31-34

31my lord shall have no cause of grief or pangs of conscience for having shed blood without cause or for my lord aworking salvation himself. And when the Lord has dealt well with my lord, then remember your servant.”

32And David said to Abigail, bBlessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me! 33Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, cwho have kept me this day from bloodguilt dand from working salvation with my own hand! 34For as surely eas the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, fwho has restrained me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, truly by morning there had not been left to Nabal so much as one male.”

2 Samuel 12:7-13

7Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, g‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul. 8And I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more. 9 hWhy have you despised the word of the Lord, ito do what is evil in his sight? jYou have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and khave taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ 11Thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. 12For you did it secretly, lbut I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.’” 13 mDavid said to Nathan, n“I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, o“The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

2 Chronicles 16:7-10

7At that time pHanani qthe seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, r“Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. 8Were not sthe Ethiopians and tthe Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet ubecause you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand. 9 vFor the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those wwhose heart is blameless

10Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him aain the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time.

2 Chronicles 25:16

16But as he was speaking, the king said to him, “Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” So the prophet stopped, but said, “I know that abGod has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”
