1 Samuel 25:36-38

36And Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, ahe was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart bwas merry within him, for he was very drunk. So she told him nothing cat all until the morning light. 37In the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone. 38And about ten days later dthe Lord struck Nabal, and he died.

Psalms 37:35-36

35 eI have seen a wicked, ruthless man,
spreading himself like fa green laurel tree.

Or  But one passed by
and behold, ihe was no more;
though I sought him, he could not be found.

Luke 16:19-25

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19There was a rich man who was clothed in spurple and fine linen and twho feasted sumptuously every day. 20And at his gate uwas laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21who desired to be fed with vwhat fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22The poor man died and was carried by wthe angels xto Abraham’s side.

23and in zHades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and aasaw Abraham far off and Lazarus abat his side. 24And he called out, acFather Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and adcool my tongue, for aeI am in anguish in this flame.’ 25But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that afyou in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
