1 Samuel 28:12-14

12When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul.” 13The king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What do you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.” 14He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped ain a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and paid homage.

Job 4:14-16

14dread came upon me, and trembling,
which made all my bones shake.
15A spirit glided past my face;
the hair of my flesh stood up.
16It stood still,
but I could not discern its appearance.

Daniel 10:6-12

6His body was like dberyl, his face elike the appearance of lightning, fhis eyes like flaming torches, his arms and glegs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and hthe sound of his words like the sound of a multitude. 7 iAnd I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves. 8So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and jno strength was left in me. My radiant appearance was fearfully changed,

land I retained no strength.
9Then I heard the sound of his words, mand as I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in deep sleep nwith my face to the ground.

10And behold, oa hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11And he said to me, “O Daniel, pman greatly loved, qunderstand the words that I speak to you, and rstand upright, for snow I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12Then he said to me, tFear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you uset your heart to understand and vhumbled yourself before your God, wyour words have been heard, xand I have come because of your words.

Mark 6:49-50

49but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50for they all saw him and ywere terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, z“Take heart; it is I. aaDo not be afraid.”

Luke 1:11-12

11And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of abthe altar of incense. 12And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and acfear fell upon him.
