1 Samuel 28:12-14

12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul.” 13 The king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What do you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.” 14 He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped ^ain a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and paid homage.

Job 4:14-16

14 dread came upon me, and trembling,
which made all my bones shake.
15 A spirit glided past my face;
the hair of my flesh stood up.
16 It stood still,
but I could not discern its appearance.

Daniel 10:6-12

My radiant appearance was fearfully changed, ^{▼▼Hebrew My splendor was changed to ruin} ^land I retained no strength. 9 Then I heard the sound of his words, ^mand as I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in deep sleep ⁿwith my face to the ground.

10 And behold, ^oa hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, ^pman greatly loved, ^qunderstand the words that I speak to you, and ^rstand upright, for ^snow I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12 Then he said to me, ^t“Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you ^uset your heart to understand and ^vhumbled yourself before your God, ^wyour words have been heard, ^xand I have come because of your words.

Mark 6:49-50

49 but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50 for they all saw him and ^ywere terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, ^z“Take heart; it is I. ^aaDo not be afraid.”

Luke 1:11-12
