The Lord Calls Samuel

1 aNow the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. bAnd the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.

his cstatutes and rules
Or  and just decrees
to Israel.
20He ehas not dealt thus with any other nation;
they do not know his rules.
Or  his just decrees

Or  the people are discouraged

but blessed is he who kkeeps the law.
