1 Samuel 4:10-11

10So the Philistines fought, aand Israel was defeated, band they fled, every man to his home. And there was a very great slaughter, for thirty thousand foot soldiers of Israel fell. 11 cAnd the ark of God was captured, dand the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

1 Samuel 11:15

15So all the people went to eGilgal, and there they made Saul king fbefore the Lord in Gilgal. There gthey sacrificed peace offerings before the Lord, and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.

1 Samuel 12:17

17 hIs it not wheat harvest today? iI will call upon the Lord, that he may send thunder and rain. And you shall know and see that jyour wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking for yourselves a king.”

25But if you still do wickedly, kyou shall be swept away, lboth you and your king.”

19Moreover, the Lord will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow you mand your sons shall be with me. The Lord will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines.”

1But all this I laid to heart, examining it all, nhow the righteous and the wise and their deeds are oin the hand of God. Whether it is love or hate, man does not know; both are before him. 2 pIt is the same for all, since qthe same event happens to the righteous and the wicked, to the good and the evil,
Septuagint, Syriac, Vulgate; Hebrew lacks  and the evil
to the clean and the unclean, to him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As the good one is, so is the sinner, and he who sswears is as he who shuns an oath.

Hosea 13:10-11

10 tWhere now is your king, to save you in all your cities?
Where are all your rulers
those of whom uyou said,
Give me a king and princes”?
11 vI gave you a king in my anger,
and wI took him away in my wrath.
