3 And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, ^aDagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place. 4 But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord, ^band the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk of Dagon was left to him.

Isaiah 41:7

7 ^cThe craftsman strengthens the goldsmith,
and he who smooths with the hammer him who strikes the anvil,
saying of the soldering, “It is good”;
and they strengthen it with nails ^dso that it cannot be moved.

Isaiah 46:7

7 ^eThey lift it to their shoulders, they carry it,
