Samuel Judges Israel

3And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, aIf you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, then bput away the foreign gods and the cAshtaroth from among you and ddirect your heart to the Lord eand serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” 4So the people of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and they served the Lord only.

2 Chronicles 30:6-9

6 fSo couriers went throughout all Israel and Judah with letters from the king and his princes, as the king had commanded, saying, “O people of Israel, greturn to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may turn again to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of hthe kings of Assyria. 7 iDo not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were faithless to the Lord God of their fathers, so that he made them a desolation, as you see. 8 jDo not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, kthat his fierce anger may turn away from you. 9For lif you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children mwill find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For nthe Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, oif you return to him.”

Isaiah 55:6-7

6 pSeek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
7let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Jeremiah 3:12-14

12Go, and proclaim these words toward qthe north, and say,

r“‘Return, faithless Israel,

declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for sI am merciful,

declares the Lord;
tI will not be angry forever.
13 uOnly acknowledge your guilt,
that you rebelled against the Lord your God
and scattered your favors among foreigners under vevery green tree,
and that you have not obeyed my voice,

declares the Lord.
14 wReturn, O faithless children,

declares the Lord;
xfor I am your master;
I will take you, one from a city and two from a family,
and I will bring you to Zion.

Jeremiah 4:1

1If you return, O Israel,

declares the Lord,
yto me you should return.
If you remove your detestable things from my presence,
zand do not waver,

Hosea 6:1

Israel and Judah Are Unrepentant

1 Come, let us aareturn to the Lord;
for abhe has torn us, that he may heal us;
he has struck us down, and ache will bind us up.

Hosea 12:6

6“So you, adby the help of your God, return,
aehold fast to love and justice,
and wait continually for your God.”
