18Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, band he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod. 19And Nob, the city of the priests, he put to the sword; cboth man and woman, child and infant, ox, donkey and sheep, he put to the sword.1 Samuel 23:20-23
20Now come down, O king, according to all your heart’s desire to come down, dand our part shall be to surrender him into the king’s hand.” 21And Saul said, e“May you be blessed by the Lord, ffor you have had compassion on me. 22Go, make yet more sure. Know and see the place where his foot is, and who has seen him there, for it is told me that he is very cunning. 23See therefore and take note of all the lurking places where he hides, and come back to me with sure information. Then I will go with you. And if he is in the land, I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”Psalms 10:8-10
8He sits in ambush in the villages;in ghiding places he murders the innocent.
His eyes stealthily watch for the helpless;
9he lurks in ambush like ha lion in his ithicket;
he jlurks that he may seize the poor;
he seizes the poor when he draws him into his knet.
