1 Samuel 9:2

2And he had a son whose name was Saul, aa handsome young man. There was not a man among the people of Israel more handsome than he. bFrom his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people.

1 Samuel 17:8

8He stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and care you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.

1 Samuel 17:49-51

49And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

50So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. There was no sword in the hand of David. 51Then David ran and stood over the Philistine dand took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, ethey fled.

1 Samuel 31:4-5

4 fThen Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these guncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, hfor he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword iand fell upon it. 5And when his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell upon his sword and died with him.

2 Samuel 14:25

25Now in all Israel there was no one so much to be praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. jFrom the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.

2 Samuel 16:23

23Now in those days the counsel that Ahithophel gave was as if one consulted the word of God; so was all the counsel of Ahithophel esteemed, kboth by David and by Absalom.

2 Samuel 17:23

23When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and went off home to lhis own city. He mset his house in order and nhanged himself, and he died and was buried in the tomb of his father.

Psalms 39:5-6

5Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths,
and omy lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely pall mankind stands as a mere breath!  Selah
6Surely a man qgoes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing
Hebrew  Surely as a breath
they are in turmoil;
man sheaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
