1 Thessalonians 1:3-10

Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
loved by God, gthat he has chosen you,
5because hour gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and iin the Holy Spirit and with full jconviction. You know kwhat kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. 6And lyou became imitators of us mand of the Lord, for nyou received the word in much affliction, owith the pjoy of the Holy Spirit, 7so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8For not only has the word of the Lord qsounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth reverywhere, so that we need not say anything. 9For they themselves report concerning us the kind of sreception we had among you, and how tyou turned to God ufrom idols to serve the living and vtrue God, 10and wto wait for his Son xfrom heaven, ywhom he raised from the dead, Jesus zwho delivers us from aathe wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

13And abwe also thank God constantly
Or without ceasing
for this, that when you received adthe word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it aenot as the word of men
The Greek word anthropoi can refer to both men and women
but as what it really is, the word of God, agwhich is at work in you believers.

2 Thessalonians 3:1

Pray for Us

1Finally, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verses 6, 13
aipray for us, that ajthe word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored,
Or glorified
as happened among you,
