6But anow that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of byour faith and love and reported cthat you always remember us kindly and dlong to see us, as we long to see you 7for this reason, brothers,

in all our distress and affliction fwe have been comforted about you through your faith.
8For now we live, if you gare standing fast in the Lord. 9For hwhat thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God, 10as we pray most earnestly inight and day jthat we may see you face to face and ksupply what is lacking in your faith?

Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 5, 10
came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.
