1 Thessalonians 4:14-18

14 For ^asince we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him ^bthose who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you ^cby a word from the Lord, ^{▼▼Or by the word of the Lord} that ^ewe who are alive, who are left until ^fthe coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For ^gthe Lord himself will descend ^hfrom heaven ⁱwith a cry of command, with the voice of ^jan archangel, and ^kwith the sound of the trumpet of God. And ^lthe dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be ^mcaught up together with them ⁿin the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so ^owe will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-3

2 For you yourselves are fully aware that ^pthe day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then ^qsudden destruction will come upon them ^ras labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
