Pray for All People

1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 ^afor kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and ^bdignified in every way. 3 This is good, and ^cit is pleasing in the sight of ^dGod our Savior, 4 who desires ^eall people to be saved and ^fto come to ^gthe knowledge of the truth. 5 For ^hthere is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man ^{▼▼ men and man render the same Greek word that is translated people in verses 1 and 4} Christ Jesus, 6 ^jwho gave himself as a ransom for all, which is ^kthe testimony given ^lat the proper time. 7 ^mFor this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle ( ⁿI am telling the truth, I am not lying), ^oa teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

8 I desire then that ^pin every place the men should pray, ^qlifting ^rholy hands without anger or quarreling;
