Some Will Depart from the Faith

1Now athe Spirit expressly says that bin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to cdeceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2through the insincerity of dliars whose consciences are seared, 3 ewho forbid marriage and frequire abstinence from foods gthat God created hto be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Godlessness in the Last Days

1But understand this, that iin the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2For people will be jlovers of self, klovers of money, lproud, marrogant, abusive, ndisobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 oheartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, pnot loving good, 4treacherous, reckless, qswollen with conceit, rlovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having the appearance of godliness, but sdenying its power. tAvoid such people. 6For among them are uthose who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,

2 Timothy 4:3-4

3 vFor the time is coming when people will not endure wsound
Or healthy
teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,
4and ywill turn away from listening to the truth and zwander off into myths.

2 Peter 2:1

False Prophets and Teachers

1But aafalse prophets also arose among the people, abjust as there will be false teachers among you, who will acsecretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master adwho bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
