1 Timothy 5:17-22

17Let the elders awho rule well be considered worthy of bdouble honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. 18For the Scripture says, c“You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, d“The laborer deserves his wages.” 19Do not admit a charge against an elder except eon the evidence of two or three witnesses. 20As for those who persist in sin, frebuke them in the presence of all, gso that the rest may stand in fear. 21In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels hI charge you to keep these rules without prejudging, idoing nothing from partiality. 22 jDo not be hasty in the klaying on of hands, nor ltake part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.
