13 ^aI charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, ^bwho in his testimony before ^{▼▼Or in the time of} Pontius Pilate made ^dthe good confession, 14 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until ^ethe appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will display ^fat the proper time—he who is ^gthe blessed and only Sovereign, ^hthe King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 ⁱwho alone has immortality, ^jwho dwells in ^kunapproachable light, ^lwhom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

17 As for the rich in ^mthis present age, charge them ⁿnot to be haughty, nor ^oto set their hopes on ^pthe uncertainty of riches, but on God, ^qwho richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

2 Timothy 4:1-6

Preach the Word

1 ^rI charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, ^swho is to judge the living and the dead, and by ^this appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; ^ureprove, rebuke, and ^vexhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 ^wFor the time is coming when people will not endure ^xsound ^{▼▼Or healthy} teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and ^zwill turn away from listening to the truth and ^aawander off into myths. 5 As for you, ^abalways be sober-minded, ^acendure suffering, do the work of ^adan evangelist, ^aefulfill your ministry.

6 For ^afI am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my ^agdeparture has come.
