1 Timothy 6:4-10

4 ahe is puffed up with conceit and bunderstands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for ccontroversy and for dquarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5and constant friction among people ewho are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, fimagining that godliness is a means of gain. 6But ggodliness hwith contentment is great gain, 7for iwe brought nothing into the world, and

8But kif we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9But lthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, minto a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that nplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of oall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Titus 3:3

3For pwe ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
