1 Timothy 6:9-10

9 But ^athose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, ^binto a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that ^cplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of ^dall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Jude 11

11 Woe to them! For they walked in ^ethe way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain ^fto Balaam’s error and ^gperished in Korah’s rebellion.
