Rehoboam Secures His Kingdom

1 aWhen Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he assembled the house of Judah and Benjamin, 180,000 chosen warriors, to fight against Israel, to restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.

2 Chronicles 13:3

3Abijah went out to battle, having an army of valiant men of war, 400,000 chosen men. And Jeroboam bdrew up his line of battle against him with 800,000 chosen mighty warriors.

2 Chronicles 17:14-19

14This was the muster of them by fathershouses: Of Judah, the commanders of thousands: Adnah the commander, with 300,000 mighty men of valor; 15and next to him Jehohanan the commander, with 280,000; 16and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, ca volunteer for the service of the Lord, with 200,000 mighty men of valor. 17Of Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, with 200,000 men darmed with bow and shield; 18and next to him Jehozabad with 180,000 armed for war. 19These were in the service of the king, besides ethose whom the king had placed in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.

Amaziah’s Victories

5Then Amaziah assembled the men of Judah and set them by fathershouses under commanders of thousands and of hundreds for all Judah and Benjamin. He mustered those ftwenty years old and upward, and found that they were g300,000 choice men, fit for war, hable to handle spear and shield.
