2 Chronicles 12:2-5

2 aIn the fifth year of King Rehoboam, because they had been unfaithful to the Lord, bShishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem 3with 1,200 chariots and 60,000 horsemen. And the people were without number who came with him from EgyptcLibyans, Sukkiim, and Ethiopians. 4And he took dthe fortified cities of Judah and came as far as Jerusalem. 5Then eShemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and to the princes of Judah, who had gathered at Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Thus says the Lord, f‘You abandoned me, so I have abandoned you to the hand of Shishak.’”

2 Chronicles 15:5

5In those times there was no peace gto him who went out or to him who came in, for great disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands.

Lamentations 2:2

2 The Lord hhas swallowed up iwithout mercy
all the habitations of Jacob;
in his wrath jhe has broken down
the strongholds of the daughter of Judah;
he has brought kdown to the ground lin dishonor
the kingdom mand its rulers.

Lamentations 2:5

5 nThe Lord has become like an enemy;
ohe has swallowed up Israel;
phe has swallowed up all its palaces;
he has laid in ruins its strongholds,
and he has multiplied in the daughter of Judah

Revelation of John 13:1-7

The First Beast

1And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, rwith ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and sblasphemous names on its heads. 2And the beast that I saw was tlike a leopard; its feet were like ua bear’s, and its mouth was like va lion’s mouth. And to it wthe dragon gave his power and xhis throne and great authority. 3One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and ythe whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. 4And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, zWho is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

5And the beast was given aaa mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for abforty-two months. 6It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling,

that is, those who dwell in heaven.
7Also it was allowed adto make war on the saints and to conquer them.

And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,
