2 Chronicles 12:6-7

6Then the princes of aIsrael and the king humbled themselves and said, b“The Lord is righteous.” 7When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah: c“They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, dand my wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

2 Chronicles 33:12-13

12And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God eand humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13He prayed to him, and fGod was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. gThen Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

Isaiah 57:15

15For thus says hthe One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is iHoly:
j“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also kwith him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
lto revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
