2 Chronicles 16:10

10Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him ain the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time.

2 Chronicles 18:25-27

25And the king of Israel said, “Seize Micaiah and take him back to Amon bthe governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son, 26and say, ‘Thus says the king, cPut this fellow in prison and feed him with meager rations of bread and water until I return in peace.’” 27And Micaiah said, “If you return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, dHear, all you peoples!”

2 Chronicles 25:15-16

15Therefore the Lord was angry with Amaziah and sent to him a prophet, who said to him, “Why have you sought the gods of a people ewho did not deliver their own people from your hand?” 16But as he was speaking, the king said to him, “Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” So the prophet stopped, but said, “I know that fGod has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”

Psalms 105:15

15saying, gTouch not my anointed ones,
do my prophets no harm!”

Jeremiah 20:2-4

2Then hPashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him iin the stocks that were in the upper jBenjamin Gate of the house of the Lord. 3The next day, when kPashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord does not call your name lPashhur, but Terror on Every Side. 4For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you ma terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.
