16And Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and all the people and the king that they should be the Lord’s people.

2 Chronicles 29:10

10Now ait is in my heart bto make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel, in order that his fierce anger may turn away from us.

2 Chronicles 34:29-32

29 cThen the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. 30And the king went up to the house of the Lord, with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the priests and the Levites, all the people both great and small. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the Lord. 31And the king dstood in his place eand made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book. 32Then he made all who were present in Jerusalem and in Benjamin join in it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

The Obligations of the Covenant

28 j“The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, kand all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding, 29join with their brothers, their nobles, land enter into a curse and an oath mto walk in God’s Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes.
