2 Chronicles 25:15-16

15Therefore the Lord was angry with Amaziah and sent to him a prophet, who said to him, “Why have you sought the gods of a people awho did not deliver their own people from your hand?” 16But as he was speaking, the king said to him, “Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” So the prophet stopped, but said, “I know that bGod has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”

Isaiah 30:8-11

A Rebellious People

8 And now, go, cwrite it before them on a tablet
and inscribe it in a book,
that it may be for the time to come
as a witness forever.

let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”

Jeremiah 20:1-3

Jeremiah Persecuted by Pashhur

1Now iPashhur the priest, the son of jImmer, who was kchief officer in the house of the Lord, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things. 2Then lPashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him min the stocks that were in the upper nBenjamin Gate of the house of the Lord. 3The next day, when oPashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord does not call your name pPashhur, but Terror on Every Side.

Acts 4:21

21And when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, qbecause of the people, for all were praising God rfor what had happened.

Acts 4:29-30

29And now, Lord, slook upon their threats and grant to your servants
Greek bondservants
to continue to speak your word with all uboldness,
30while vyou stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed wthrough the name of your xholy servant Jesus.”

24Now when ythe captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to.

Acts 5:28

28saying, z“We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you aaintend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”

Acts 5:40

40and abwhen they had called in the apostles, acthey beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
