Ahaz’s Idolatry

22 In the time of his distress he became yet more faithless to the Lord—this same King Ahaz.

Jeremiah 6:29-30

29 The ^abellows blow fiercely;
the lead is consumed by the fire;
^bin vain the refining goes on,
for the wicked are not removed.
30 ^cRejected silver they are called,
for the Lord has rejected them.”
