Ahaz’s Idolatry

22In the time of his distress he became yet more faithless to the Lord—this same King Ahaz.

Jeremiah 9:3

3 aThey bend their tongue like a bow;
falsehood and not truth has grown strong
Septuagint; Hebrew  and not for truth they have grown strong
in the land;
for they proceed from evil to evil,
cand they do not know me, declares the Lord.

Revelation of John 16:8-11

the name of God who had power over these plagues. gThey did not repent hand give him glory.

10The fifth angel poured out his bowl on ithe throne of the beast, and jits kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11and cursed kthe God of heaven for their pain and lsores. mThey did not repent of their deeds.
