Solomon Builds the Temple

1 aThen Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem bon Mount Moriah, where the Lord

Isaiah 28:16

16therefore thus says the Lord God,
eBehold, I am the one who has laid

‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’

Matthew 16:18

18And I tell you, hyou are Peter, and ion this rock
The Greek words for  Peter and  rock sound similar
I will build my church, and kthe gates of lhell
Greek  the gates of Hades
shall not prevail against it.

1 Corinthians 3:10-11

10 nAccording to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a ofoundation, and psomeone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. 11For no one can lay a qfoundation other rthan that which is laid, swhich is Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:20-22

1 Peter 2:4-8

4As you come to him, a living stone acrejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 adyou yourselves like living stones are being built up as aea spiritual house, to be afa holy priesthood, agto offer spiritual sacrifices ahacceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For it stands in Scripture:

aiBehold, I am laying in Zion a stone,
a cornerstone chosen and precious,
ajand whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
7So the honor is for you who akbelieve, but for those who aldo not believe,

am“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,”
Greek  the head of the corner

8and

ao“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offense.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, apas they were destined to do.
