2 Chronicles 30:18-20

18For a majority of the people, amany of them from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise bthan as prescribed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord pardon everyone 19 cwho sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, even though not according to the sanctuary’s rules of cleanness.”

Ezra 9:15

15O Lord, the God of Israel, you are just, for we are left a eremnant that has escaped, as it is today. Behold, we are before you in our fguilt, gfor none can stand before you because of this.”

Isaiah 64:6

and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.

Daniel 9:18

18 jO my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see kour desolations, and lthe city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.

Matthew 22:11-13

11But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there ma man who had no wedding garment. 12And he said to him, nFriend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and ocast him into the outer darkness. In that place pthere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
