2 Chronicles 32:10

10Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, ‘On what are you trusting, that you endure the siege in Jerusalem?

Isaiah 10:8-14

8for he says:
a“Are not my commanders all kings?
9 bIs not cCalno like dCarchemish?
Is not eHamath like fArpad?
gIs not hSamaria like Damascus?
10As my hand has reached to ithe kingdoms of the idols,
whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
11shall I not do to Jerusalem and jher idols
kas I have done to Samaria and her images?”
12 lWhen the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, mhe
Hebrew I
will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes.
13 oFor he says:

“By the strength of my hand I have done it,
and by my wisdom, for I have understanding;
I remove the boundaries of peoples,
and plunder their treasures;
like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.
14My hand has found like a nest
the wealth of the peoples;
and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken,
so I have gathered all the earth;
and there was none that moved a wing
or opened the mouth or chirped.”

Isaiah 36:4

4And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the pgreat king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Isaiah 37:13

13 qWhere is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, or the king of Ivvah?’”

Daniel 4:30

30and the king answered and said, r“Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by smy mighty power as a royal residence and for tthe glory of my majesty?”
