The Lord Delivers Jerusalem

20Then Hezekiah the king and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, prayed because of this and cried to heaven.

Job 42:8-9

8Now therefore take aseven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and boffer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall cpray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” 9 dSo Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

Ezekiel 14:14

14 eeven if these three men, fNoah, gDaniel, and hJob, were in it, ithey would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness, declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 14:18-20

18 jthough these three men were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they alone would be delivered.

19Or kif I send a pestilence into that land and pour out my wrath upon it with blood, to cut off from it man and beast, 20even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness.

Ezekiel 22:30

30 lAnd I sought for a man among them mwho should build up the wall nand stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

Malachi 1:9

9And now oentreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, pwill he show favor to any of you? says the Lord of hosts.

James 5:16-18
