2 Chronicles 32:25-26

25But Hezekiah adid not make return according to the benefit done to him, for bhis heart was proud. Therefore cwrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem. 26But Hezekiah dhumbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Luke 18:14

14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For oeveryone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
